Music has always been an incredibly important factor to my life. I listen to more albums than I do reading and watching books because I sing better in them. Here were some of my favorites:

10. NCT, Resonance P2

Okay, sure. BTS is important, but the visuals and production value for NCT have always been immaculate. Don’t sleep on these boys.

9. Arca, Kick I

Arca comes back with another album that’s still angry and a little more sexy with great collaborations from the likes of Rosalia and Bjork.

8. KAI, KAI

For his self-titled album, he goes solo from EXO, a personal project that exhibits the very best of what he does so well and what he will do in the future.

7. TV Blonde, More Demos

They feel like tiny personal audio clips picked up by frequenting too many parties late in the night. It feels like you’re eavesdropping on memories that don’t belong to you.

6. Les Sins, C’mon Lesgo

Toro y Moi leaves chill Berkeley bedroom pop to make warehouse dance music in Oakland. Short, sweet, and super dancey.

5. Kylie Minogue, Disco

The original kween of pop comes back with a luxuriously fun album that is great for any party for those who miss clubbing during this god-awful pandemic.

4. Tkay Maidza, Last Year Was Weird Vol2

A short and simple EP that carries such range with different genres that shows Maidza’s playfulness and mastery of great music.

3. Jessie Ware, What’s Your Pleasure?

Perhaps the greatest pop album to come out of 2020.

2. Tennis, Swimmer

Tennis comes back with hard emotions combined with sweet melodies that makes the feeling of nostalgia absolutely infectious.

1. TOPS, I Feel Alive

Perhaps a bias of sorts, but I’ve been waiting for another album by them for a really long time and they hit home pretty hard with this beautiful album. Great flow coming from the Montreal music scene. Wish it was possible to have gone to a show with their tour of this album. ❤
